What is the Share Market And Type of Market

The share market, also known as the stock market, is a platform where companies can raise capital by issuing shares to investors in exchange for ownership in the company. Shareholders, in turn, can earn a return on their investment through dividends or by selling their shares at a profit if the company's share price increases.

1. Primary market: This is where companies issue new shares to the public for the first time through an initial public offering (IPO) or a follow-on public offer (FPO).

2. Secondary market: This is where investors buy and sell shares that have already been issued by companies. The secondary market is generally more active than the primary market, with prices constantly changing based on supply and demand.

3. Equity market: This is a market where shares of public companies are traded, allowing investors to buy and sell ownership stakes in those companies.

4. Commodity market: This is where commodities such as gold, silver, oil, and agricultural products are traded.

5. Derivatives market: This is where financial instruments such as options, futures, and swaps are traded based on the value of an underlying asset, such as a stock, commodity, or currency.

6. Bond market: This is where bonds issued by companies or governments are traded.

The share market is an important component of the global economy, allowing companies to raise capital and investors to earn returns on their investments. However, investing in the share market involves risks, and it's important to do your research and seek professional advice before making any investment decisions.
